This Little Art: A reading and talk by Kate Briggs

The Center for Writers and Translators is delighted to welcome Kate Briggs, who will read from and discuss her blend of essay and memoir This Little Art. A genre-bending song for the practice of literary translation, This Little Art has been named one of 2017's books of the year by the Times Literary Supplement and The Guardian. A former instructor at AUP, Kate Briggs is the translator of two volumes of lecture and seminar notes by Roland Barthes (Columbia University Press, 2011 and 2013). She lives in Rotterdam and teaches writing at the Piet Zwart Institute.
